We have raised over £4,300 for a children’s medical research charity by competing in Race the Sun
Two teams from our London office climbed England’s second highest mountain, canoed Lake Thirlmere, and cycled 48 miles – starting at sunrise and finishing before sunset.
The £4,372, which surpasses our £4,000 target, goes to Action Medical Research. Having already developed a vaccine for Polio and preventative cures for Spina Bifida this fantastic charity have now set their sights on preventing meningitis and pneumonia, in addition to continually improving the quality of life for disabled children.
We would like to thank all of our clients, colleagues, family and friends who donated to the team’s efforts.
Action Medical Research is a UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people. For over 60 years they have been saving and changing lives through medical research. Their peer review system and Scientific Advisory Panel finds and funds cutting-edge medical research in the UK most likely to deliver real benefit to babies, children and young people. Through funding projects grants and research training fellowships they tackle premature birth and treat sick and vulnerable babies, help children affected by disability, disabling conditions and infections and target rare diseases that together severely affect many forgotten children.
